Baby kale blend

Our baby kale blend is made of various baby lettuces enhanced by baby kale leaves. The baby kale brings flavor and nutritional values as it is well known for its high antioxidant content and detoxifying properties.

Ingredients: Baby Crucifers (Kale, Tatsoi, Mizuna, Arugula), Baby Spinach, Baby Lettuces (Romaine, Tango, Lollo Rossa), Baby Chard. Ingredients may vary.

 
 

Spring Mix

From 7 to 13 varieties of young lettuce leaves, from the young traditional Romaine lettuce to the bold Arugula through the elegant Lollo rossa, can be found in the “Fresh Attitude” Spring Mix salad giving excitement and originality to your appetizers in addition to being incredibly rich in flavors every one more sophisticated than the other.

Combining several varieties of lettuce and crucifers, the Spring Mix has remarkable antioxidant properties. It contains isothiocyanates, carotenoids (lutein, zeaxanthin and beta-carotene), ferulic acid and flavonoids. It is extremely rich in vitamins (A, B2, B9, C, K …) and minerals (manganese, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, calcium …).

Baby Spinach

Remarkably nutritious, baby spinach leaves show a tender texture and a pronounced flavor that can be enjoyed in countless dishes, raw or cooked. They can be savoured in salads accompanied by citrus and strong flavors like garlic or shallots. Cooked and enjoyed around the world, spinach is the main ingredient in an Italian dishes called “Florentine”.

Baby spinach is rich in antioxidants such as ferulic acid, which helps prevent certain cancers, as well as lutein and zeaxanthin, which help protect the eyes against macular degeneration and cataracts. It also contains a lot of betaine (192 mg in 1 cup of raw spinach and 613 mg in ½ cup of cooked spinach), a compound that reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease. Baby spinach is finally an excellent source of vitamin K, vitamin A (good source when raw), folate (good source when raw), manganese (good source when raw), iron (cooked only) and magnesium (cooked only). In short, baby spinach is an incredible health-food that you cannot miss!

Arugula

Traditionally consumed in southern Europe and the Mediterranean, Arugula is slightly peppery and the young leaves have a subtle nutty flavor. Pleasantly surprising in salads its pronounced and unusual flavor makes it an excellent aromatic herb which enhances dishes of all kinds. Much appreciated by gourmets, Arugula goes well with traditional Italian dishes such as homemade pizza.

The Arugula contains, in higher quantities than other varieties of lettuce, antioxidants such as lutein and beta-carotene, carotenoids which could prevent the development of malignant tumors. In addition, like other crucifers, Arugula contains isothiocyanates, a compound that helps slow down the development of some cancers. The Arugula is finally a good source of vitamin K and folate.

San Marino Mix

The tatsoi is rich in vitamins A, C, in calcium and iron. As for mustard greens, they contain four to six times more glucosinolate per 3.5 oz (related to the prevention of certain cancers) than other cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli and cauliflower. Finally, baby spinach completes the nutritional palette of the Oriental blend.
